The project work consists of installation of multiple automatic gate arms with key card access at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC), including the modification to the layout of the North lot.

Sealed filed sub-bids for the same project for the sub-trades listed below will be received at the same office until 12:00 p.m. local time on April 19, 2024, immediately after which, in a designated room, the filed sub-bids will be opened and read publicly.

 A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on April 03, 2024, starting at the Main Lobby of the BCEC at 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts. The pre-bid conference will be followed by a walk-through of the site.

Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the bidding documents must be submitted to bflynn@massconvention.com in writing in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 05, 2024.

Each general bid on this contract must be accompanied by a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) showing that the bidder has the classification and capacity rating to perform the work required. In order to be eligible to bid on this contract, a general bidder must be certified for the estimated project cost of $1,706,797 and for the following category of work:

Each general bid must also be accompanied by a Contractor Qualification Update Statement. The Authority will furnish copies of the Contractor Qualification Update Statement form to any bidder on request. Any general bid submitted without the appropriate Certificate of Eligibility and Contractor Qualification Update Statement shall be invalid.

Filed sub-bids will be required and taken on the following classes of work: Electrical ($95,100).

Sub-bids on this contract must be accompanied by a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility issued by DCAMM showing that the sub-bidder has been certified to participate in the public construction projects and to perform the work required. In order to be eligible to bid on this contract, sub-bidders must be certified by DCAMM for the class of work upon which such sub-bidders seeks to bid. Each sub-bid must also be accompanied by a Sub-contractor Qualification Update Statement. Any filed sub-bid submitted without the appropriate Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement shall be invalid and will not be accepted by the Authority.

This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the Food Service Upgrades as described in the Contract Documents. Implementation Project, complete and ready for operation as indicated on the drawings and specified herein. The location for this contract work is at the Mass Mutual Center (MMC), 1277 Main Street Springfield, MA. The Project includes the following:

Stand 9 Renovations as the Base Bid: Project includes demolition of existing casework and finishes, as well as the construction of new counters and supports, and miscellaneous electrical improvements.

State Street Tap Renovations as Alternate #1: Project includes demolition of existing casework and finishes, as well as the construction of new counters, supports and soffits, miscellaneous electrical improvements, and mechanical exhaust.

Marketplace Renovations as Alternate #2: Project includes construction of new casework and counters, and electrical power.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, starting in the front lobby Box Office of the MMC located at 1277 Main Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. The pre-bid conference will be followed by a walkthrough of the site.

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (the "Authority") will receive sealed bids for the MassMutual Convention Center, MMC Food Service Upgrades, at the Administrative Offices of the Authority at 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210, until 12:00 Noon local time on April 9, 2024, immediately after which, in a designated room, the bids will be opened and read publicly.
Sealed filed sub-bids for the same project for the sub-trades listed below will be received at the same office until 12:00 p.m. local time on April 3, 2024, immediately after which, in a designated room, the filed sub-bids will be opened and read publicly.

This project includes providing all labor, materials, and equipment for the Groundwork preparation at the Lawn on D, in Boston, including trenching, structural support, all as more fully set forth in the Specifications and Drawings. The work is anticipated to be completed between March and April 2024, and the value of the contract has been estimated at $185,000.

Bidding procedures and award of the contract will be in accordance with the provisions of Section 39M, inclusive, of Chapter 30 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. No DCAMM certification required.

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (the "Authority") will receive sealed bids for the Lawn on D Interactive Exhibit Groundwork, located in Boston MA, at the Administrative offices of the Authority at 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210, until 12:00PM (Noon) local time on March 8, 2024, immediately after which, in a designated room, the bids will be opened and read publicly.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, onsite at the Lawn on D, Boston, Massachusetts.  Bidders will have an opportunity to visit the site of the work after the pre-bid conference.

This Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process as set forth in M.G.L. c.149A. The Authority is prequalifying firms interested in providing public Trade Contractor services for the project through this RFQ process. [Be advised that this process is only for the AHUs scope of work only, (R35) estimated at $15,255,800]. Only those respondents deemed qualified will be invited to submit a proposal in response to a detailed Request for Bid (“RFB”) which will be issued in the second phase of the procurement process.
