The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (the “Authority”) requests invitations for bid for Schneider Electric Model 6 Series Low Voltage MCC Buckets for the Boston Common Garage.

 Bids must be received at the Executive Office of the Authority, Attn: Brendan Flynn, Director of Purchasing, 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210, not later than 12:00 p.m. local time on November 6th, 2024. Bid requirements and content are set forth in the Invitation for Bid, and in conjunction with MGL Ch. 30B regulations.

Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the bidding documents must be submitted in writing in accordance with the Invitation for Bid and must be received no later than 5:00 pm, October 23, 2024.

Providers must demonstrate experience and success providing this type of equipment.

Snow Removal Services

R33/R35 Hynes AHUs and Switchgears Upgrades Project (R33 Switchgears)

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (hereinafter the “Authority”) is soliciting Trade Contractor Services for the Hynes AHUs and Switchgears Upgrades, a 9-phased approach will be to replace internal parts of the AHUs and the current control systems, as well as completely replace the switchboards, with an estimated cost of $35,000,000 located at 900 Boylston Street. Boston, MA. Switchgears Project Trade estimate $6,441,000. In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149A, sections 1 thru 13, the Authority is seeking a highly qualified and competent Trade Contractors to provide services to implement the construction, between the Summer of 2024 through Spring of 2029.

 

Trade Contractors interested in providing trade services for the project are invited to submit a Statement of Qualifications (“SOQ”) to the Authority. The Authority will receive SOQs electronically ONLY, through BidDocs ONLINE, until 2:00 PM local time on October 9, 2024. Request for Qualifications documents will be available on or after Wednesday September 18, 2024, from the Authority website rfp.massconvention.com, which will direct you at BidDocs ONLINE. Each interested party may obtain the documents at such address [BidDocs ONLINE], together with any addenda or amendments which the Authority may issue.

 

Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the Request for Qualifications documents must be submitted electronically to BidDocs ONLINE and must be received no later than 5:00 PM, September 27, 2024.

This Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process as set forth in M.G.L. c.149A. The Authority is prequalifying firms interested in providing public Trade Contractor services for the project through this RFQ process. [Be advised that this process is only for the Switchgears scope of work only, (R33) estimated at $6,441,000]. Only those respondents deemed qualified will be invited to submit a proposal in response to a detailed Request for Bid (“RFB”) which will be issued in the second phase of the procurement process.

BCEC Cypher Street Beautification (S25)

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (the "Authority") will receive sealed bids for the Cypher Street Beautification project, located in Boston MA, at the Administrative offices of the Authority at 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210, until 12:00PM (Noon) local time on October 01, 2024, immediately after which, in a designated room, the bids will be opened and read publicly.

This project includes providing all labor, materials, and equipment for the beautification green space at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, in Boston, including, precast concrete, concrete, metal fabrications, electrical, site work, irrigation and landscaping all as more fully set forth in the Specifications and Drawings. The work is anticipated to be completed between January and May 2025, and the value of the contract has been estimated at $7,750,000.00.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, onsite at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, Boston, Massachusetts.  Bidders will have an opportunity to visit the site of the work after the pre-bid conference.

Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the bidding documents must be submitted in writing to bflynn@massconvention.com and cc cgong@massconvention.com in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be received no later than 5:00 PM, September 17, 2024.

Contract documents for bidders will be available on or after September 04, 2024 from the Authority website rfp.massconvention.com.  Each bidder may obtain the documents at such address, together with any addenda or amendments which the Authority may issue. 

Bidding procedures and award of the contract will be in accordance with the provisions of Section 39M, inclusive, of Chapter 30 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. No DCAMM certification required.

Each bid shall be submitted and will be considered in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and other Contract Documents, and shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the value of the bid.

The Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids if it be in the public interest to do so.  The Authority reserves the right to cancel this procurement at any time without liability to any bidder or other party.

The successful general bidder will be required to furnish a labor and materials or payment bond as set forth in the bid form.  Attention is called to the minimum rates of wages to be paid on the work as determined under the provisions of Chapter 149, Massachusetts General Laws, Sections 26 to 27D, inclusive, as amended, and as set forth in the Contract Documents, which the contractor will be required to pay.

Hynes Emergency Generators Equipment

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (the “Authority”) requests proposals for 
emergency generators equipment for the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center.

Hynes Deferred Maintenance and Code Upgrades Project

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (hereinafter the “Authority”) is soliciting Construction Management at Risk Services for the Hynes Convention Center Deferred Maintenance and Code Upgrades (the “Project”), a phased approach to address deferred maintenance, architectural and building systems at the end of their service life, and accessibility items, with an estimated cost of $52,000,000, located at 900 Boylston Street, Boston, MA, in conjunction with the designer STV Inc., and the OPM Arcadis US. In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149A, sections 1 thru 13, the Authority is seeking a highly qualified and competent Construction Manager to provide both preconstruction services and to implement the phased construction, between the late-Fall of 2024 through Winter of 2029.

 

The Authority will use the CM at Risk, M.G.L. c. 149A process and firms interested in providing public construction manager at risk services (“CM” or “CM at Risk”) for the Project are invited to submit a Statement of Qualifications (“SOQ”) to the Authority. The Authority will receive SOQs at the Administrative Offices of the Authority at 415 Summer Street, Boston, MA 02210, until 12:00 PM (Noon) local time on August 15, 2024,

Request for Qualifications documents will be available on or after Wednesday July 17, 2024, from the Authority website rfp.massconvention.com. Each interested party may obtain the documents at such address, together with any addenda or amendments which the Authority may issue.

An informational conference will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Wednesday July 31, 2024, starting at the main entrance of the Hynes Convention Center at 900 Boylston Street, Boston MA, and will be followed by a walkthrough of the site.

Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the Request for Qualifications documents must be submitted in writing to bflynn@massconvention.com and must be received no later than 4:00 PM, August 2, 2024.

 

This Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process as set forth in M.G.L. c.149A. The Authority is prequalifying firms interested in providing public CM at Risk services for the project through this RFQ process. Only those respondents deemed qualified will be invited to submit a proposal in response to a detailed Request for Proposals (“RFP”) which will be issued in the second phase of the procurement process. Firms interested in being prequalified must demonstrate that they have prior experience as a CM on at least three CM at Risk projects and have completed at least one project of a similar cost, complexity, type, and size in an occupied and operational building, as this project identified above. The prior CM at Risk projects must have been completed within the last ten (10) years.
