The MCCA's purchasing process is to procure goods and services using sound business practices through its centralized purchasing department by obtaining quotations or purchasing via the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Statewide Contracts. As business needs increase in size or complexity, goods and services and capital projects are publicly bid to ensure a fair and competitive process.

The Authority is committed to and encourages the participation of Minority Owned and Women Owned Businesses. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Supplier Diversity Office certifies minority and women businesses. Elevator and Escalator Maintenance and Repairs
 The MCCA will receive sealed general bids from contractors for the BCEC, Hynes, and Boston Common Garage Elevator and Escalator Maintenance and Repairs Contract. The project consists of all labor, materials, supervision, tools, supplies, and equipment for preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and testing of the three properties' Elevators and Escalators. R21 BCEC North Lobby Doors
Add electromagnetic locks to the 8 swing doors in the main entrance glass façade at the BCEC.  These maglocks will be connected to the main security system of the building.  The revolving doors will remain as they are.  The maglocks will be added at the door heads.  Motion sensors will be added at the interior side of each of these doors to automatically unlock the doors as someone approaches to leave.  These doors will also need connections to the fire alarm and to electricity to power the magnetic locks.  Power, data, and fire alarm circuits will all need to run above metal ceilings to connect to the existing building utilities.  Pre-Bid Conference:
