R07 BCEC Grease Traps and Pump Replacement

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (the "Authority") will receive sealed Primary Bids for the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center Grease Traps and Pump Replacement at the offices of the Authority at 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210, until 12:00 noon local time on June 7, 2023, immediately after which, in a designated room, the bids will be opened and read publicly.

The Project consists of replacement of designated existing grease traps, replacement of ejector pumps with owner provided pumps, and cleaning pits at ejector pumps at the for the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). The grease traps sit on the floor in three separate rooms, serving the kitchen and cafeteria at the BCEC. There are also 8 ejector pumps that are in below grade pits that are accessed through hatches in the level 0 of the floor.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, starting in the front lobby of the BCEC at 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts. Bidders will have an opportunity to visit the site of the work after the pre-bid conference. Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the bidding documents must be submitted in writing to bflynn@massconvention.com in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be received no later than 5 p.m., May 24, 2023.

Each general bid on this contract must be accompanied by a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) showing that the bidder has the classification and capacity rating to perform the work required. In order to be eligible to bid on this contract, a general bidder must be certified for the estimated project cost of $148,147.00 and for the following category of work

R08 BCEC CUP Pump Drives

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (the "Authority") will receive sealed general bids for the BOSTON CONVENTION & EXHIBITION CENTER CUP PUMP DRIVES at the Administrative Offices of the Authority at 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210, until 12:00 p.m. local time on June 07, 2023 immediately after which, in a designated room, the general bids will be opened and read publicly.

Sealed filed sub-bids for the same project for the sub-trades listed below will be received at the same office until 12:00 p.m. local time on May 31, 2023, immediately after which, in a designated room, the filed sub-bids will be opened and read publicly.

This project includes providing all labor, equipment, implements, and materials required to furnish and install all Electrical work (complete and operable) as shown on the drawings and as noted in specifications. The contractor to also coordinate the installation of new software for this project and ensure that there is a seamless transition of the existing Electrical systems to the new one with no interruption in building operations.

A pre‑bid conference will be held at 1:00pm on May 17, 2023 starting at the North Plaza in front of the BCEC located at 415 Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts. The pre-bid conference will be followed by a walk-through of the site.

Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the bidding documents must be submitted to bflynn@massconvention.com in writing in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 22, 2023.

In order to be eligible to bid on this contract, a general bidder must be certified for the estimated project cost of $1,291,308 and for the following category of work:

 Prime Contractors – ELECTRICAL

Filed sub-bids will be required and taken on the following classes of work:

HVAC (Estimate $226,243)

Sub-bids on this contract must be accompanied by a copy of a Certificate of Eligibility issued by DCAMM showing that the sub-bidder has been certified to participate in the public construction projects and to perform the work required.  In order to be eligible to bid on this contract, sub-bidders must be certified by DCAMM for the class of work upon which such sub-bidders seeks to bid.  Each sub-bid must also be accompanied by a Sub-contractor Qualification Update Statement.  Any filed sub-bid submitted without the appropriate Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement shall be invalid and will not be accepted by the Authority.

R12 - BCEC Vertical Concrete Repairs

This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the repair of deteriorated and spalled concrete along the parapet walls located at the East and West roadways and ramps on level 1 of the BCEC with no interruption to building operations.
